• A pressure sensor is a device for pressure measurement of gases or liquids. Pressure is an expression of the force required to stop a fluid from expanding, and is usually stated in terms of force per unit area.

• A pressure sensor works by converting pressure into an analogue electrical signal. The demand for pressure measuring instruments increased during the steam age. We measure pressure electronically using pressure transducers and pressure switches.

3. What is the use of a pressure sensor?

• Pressure sensors are used for control and monitoring in thousands of everyday applications. Pressure sensors can also be used to indirectly measure other variables such as fluid/gas flow, speed, water level, and altitude.

4. What is the use of touch sensors?

• A touch sensor detects touch or near proximity without relying on physical contact. Touch sensors are making their way into many applications like mobile phones, remote controls, control panels, and many more. Touch sensors can replace mechanical buttons and switches.

5. Is a pressure sensor analog or digital?

• Pressure sensor will produce an analog output signal that is proportional to the amount of applied pressure. These sensors are used for different types of applications such as piezoelectric plates or piezoelectric sensors that are used for the generation of electric charge.
